For this week's Fam Share we're featuring Tran Vu: an awesome organizer and interdisciplinary artist on our Advisory Board here at BAO. Tran Vu describes herself as a "1.5 generation Vietnamese American," and she's been using her artwork and social engagement to build and heal within the Vietnamese community here in Dorchester.

Viet Family Stories, Chuyện Gia Đình 2.0 is an intergenerational multimedia storytelling project that brings together a group of Vietnamese American elder and young artists to co-create a series of monthly bilingual gatherings and dialogues grounded in Boston's Dorchester community. The project aims to explore and unpack themes of diaspora, resiliency, memories, mental health and healing practices in Vietnamese families. Viet Family Stories, Chuyện Gia Đình 2.0 là một dự án kể chuyện đa-phương-tiện đa-thế-hệ có quy tụ những người lớn tuổi và thanh niên Mỹ gốc Việt, họ sẽ hợp tác trong vòng sáu tháng để tạo ra một chuỗi các chương trình và các cuộc đối thoại song ngữ hàng tháng cho cộng đồng Dorchester tại Boston. Một dự án nhằm khám phá và phân tích các chủ đề về cộng đồng, khả năng phục hồi, ký ức, sức khỏe tâm lý và phương pháp chữa lành trong các gia đình Việt.
