Today we're featuring one of our favorite organizations in Boston, BAMS Fest, who are dropping their first podcast ever TONIGHT! ARTDACITY's panel tonight will feature our very own advisory board member Brandie Blaze, Elle Simone, Culinary Artist and CEO of SheChef Inc. and the talented Aysha Upchurch, performer and educator of HipHopEX. The panel will be moderated by Arielle Gray of WBUR's The ARTery (and co-founder of Print Ain't Dead).
ARTDACITY premieres LIVE Tonight at 6:00pm EST!
From double standards and code switching, to caretaking and running a business, Black women are expected to outperform, produce and thrive all at the same time. So what does it take for Black women to live on their own terms? What does it take for Black women to show up as themselves, unapologetically?
Join us for a lively deep discussion among powerful Black women - a chef, educator and femcee who claim their space and put it all on the table about their experiences within their respective industries.
Panelists: Elle Simone, Brandie Blaze, and Aysha Upchurch
Moderator: Arielle Gray
This episode is supported by BU Arts Initiative and MassHumanities
